 The horizon broadened for hundreds of aspiring aviators this past Friday as the Uganda Aviation Academy (UAA) held its 2026 graduation ceremony.     The sky is nolonger a ceiling,it is your new office. ✈️ Standing before a phalanx of microphones, Hon. Capt. George Mike Mukula, the founder of the academy and a veteran aviator himself. In his speech, he shared a message of "Discipline and Integrity." Mukula, who established the academy in 2011 to bridge the professional skills gap in East Africa, emphasized that technical skill alone isn't enough to survive the high-stakes world of international flight. "This graduation is not the end, but the beginning of your professional journey," Mukula told the press. He then conclided by sauing, "The aviation sector is fast-evolving. Whether it's for a quick sandwich topper or the legendary "G-nut paste and avocado" combo, the effort spent harvesting is always worth the reward. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the best things in life require a little bit of climbing, a lot of reaching, and a very brave friend to watch from below.🙌

A Mission Beyond the Finish Line. The streets of Mengo are buzzing with anticipation as the Buganda Kingdom, in partnership with Airtel Uganda and various corporate sponsors, prepares for the 13th edition of the Kabaka Birthday Run. Scheduled for this Sunday, April 12, 2026. The event is more than just a celebration of the Kabaka's 71st birthday; it is a critical national mobilization effort aimed at ending HIV/AIDS as a public health threat by 2030. This year’s run is centered on the powerful theme: "Men for Good Health to Save the Girl Child and the Fight to End HIV/AIDS by 2030."The campaign specifically calls on men to take a leading role in health awareness, testing, and prevention to protect the next generation.
